The Network is trying something new!  This winter, we are hosting an Enhanced Learning Series focused on using a consultative approach to business engagement for apprenticeship expansion. 

The series will help both new and experienced Apprenticeship Professionals increase the effectiveness of their business engagement activities.  Over four virtual facilitated sessions, participants will practice consultative sales skills and apply specific concepts to scenario-based situations commonly encountered when working with businesses and employers to explore the apprenticeship model.  Each session will include large-group discussion and small-group exercises.    

Seats are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis to individuals who can commit to the following:  

  1. Completing the AP Learning Portal Business Engagement Foundations and Strategies course.  You will be asked to provide a completion certificate prior to the first session. The course consists of three modules: Business Engagement Essentials for Apprenticeship Professionals, Communicating Registered Apprenticeship Benefits and Dispelling Myths, and The Role of Data in Business Engagements.  This course can be completed on-demand and takes approximately one hour.     

  2. Attending all four sessions. The Enhanced Learning Series is designed so that each session builds on the last. Session dates and times are: 

    1. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 12:30-2 ET 

    2. Wednesday, Dec. 18, Noon - 1:30 ET 

    3. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2-3:30 ET 

    4. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1-2:30 ET
